Using EFT To Shift Catabolic Patterns and Beliefs

After we see a personal pattern within ourselves and how it has developed, we can spend years and years looking at it. Actual change occurs because we finally decide to change. We may not understand the how, but we are not in charge of the how. What matters is we decide to change and we are open and receptive to the guidance that will come in because we have decided. It's not your conditions that shape your destiny, it's your decisions. Your beliefs then define you, and you actually have a choice to what you believe. 

The only thing with that is, we can know we want something on a conscious level, and feel we are doing everything on our own to move it that direction. Unless we acknowledge and give room to the unconscious fears, they will continue to manifest and block us from getting what we really want. Again, we are so patterned in these conditions, so it makes sense we wouldn't know another way.

A tool that I have been consistently using is Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also known as tapping. EFT is a form of psychological acupressure, based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments. The process is using fingertips, instead of needles as you would in acupuncture, to input kinetic energy into specific meridians in the body while you think about your specific issue, problem, trauma, addiction and so on. After you give voice to the catabolic energy, you use the same technique to voice positive affirmations.

Home Play:

*Consider taking one issue each day for a week (could be the same one or different if you feel a shift), and use the tapping technique.

*Pause between each the 'negative and positive' energy tapping, to feel what is going on in your body. If you feel you are not noticing much shift, I would suggest continuing with the same 'issue or problem' again and again until you do notice a shift.

*Each day, write down anything that comes up, and create a journal entry so you can really see if and when there are shifts occurring. Remember, the old patterning is so conditioned, so it will do everything to pull you back to what is comfortable and familiar. Journaling will help you acknowledge how far you have come.
